Welcome to ICOMON!

ICOMON was created for museums of numismatics (either as completely independent institutions or as part of larger and more general collections) and museums of financial and economic institutions or companies.

ICOMON provides a forum for its members to share expertise and experiences relating to a range of museological issues faced by money and banking museums including:

• the acquisition and conservation of collections
• practical issues of security, collections management and care
• methods of presentation and display educational projects, including financial education
• conceptual questions relating to numismatic museums.

The committee offers its members both broad and in-depth discussions, and organises annual meetings, usually hosted by a member organisation.
